We have all had those lazy mornings, haven't we? Wake up to the sound of a generic alarm, reluctantly roll out of bed, grab a ‘for the road’ breakfast, and leave the house. If this sounds like you fear not, we’ve all been in the same boat.
Despite our lazy morning rituals, there are several better ways to start your day.
Morning routines are significant as they set the tone for the rest of your day. So it is crucial to include healthy rituals & patterns that can keep you up and at it throughout the day.

Here are 5-morning habits, that you can include in your morning routines, to have a great day.

A healthy breakfast is everything!
Well, it is true! Breakfast is in fact the most fundamental meal of the day! A healthy breakfast consists of lean proteins, whole grains, and healthy fats. Starting your mornings with a healthy breakfast is great as it provides you with energy and the ability for stronger focus and concentration. Thus, never leave your home on an empty stomach.

Say no to tech!
Often the first thing we do is check our smartphones & gadgets for work emails or messages. Well, this can often be counterproductive as while doing so, you are cultivating a passive reactive mindset rather than a proactive one. This in turn causes you to subconsciously begin your day in a defensive state instead of being in control.
Try detaching yourself from technology for at least the first hour of the day, this way you can start your day proactively with an optimistic outlook.

Refresh with a glass of water
Starting your day with a glass of water is a great way of hydrating your body after hours of sleep. You can also add a squeeze of lemon into your glass which aids in eliminating toxins from your stomach that your digestive tract may have produced at night. Moreover, lemons are a rich source of vitamin C that helps in improving digestion, metabolism, and weight loss.
So water you doing? Get that sip now ;)

Exercise/Meditate
Incorporating any form of exercise or meditation in your morning ritual is a fantastic way to start your day. Meditation, exercising or even yoga helps you train your emotions and mindset. Furthermore, it helps you develop a positive outlook and enables you to get to the tough challenges of the day

Get to your ‘to-do’ list
Grab a few minutes to think and jot down your ‘to-do’ list for the rest of the day. Then prioritize this list and order them so you can cross off the most important things first.
Scribbling down your to-do list is a great way to organize your thoughts to keep a clear mind for the day ahead.
